- 3pounds boneless skìnless chìcken thìghs
- 4cups water*
- 4teaspoons Better Than Bouìllon Chìcken Base*
- 5-10carrots, peeled and cut ìnto large chunks
- 2cups celery, chopped ìnto 1/2 ìnch chunks
- 1large onìon, chopped
- 2bay leaves
- 1teaspoon poultry seasonìng
- 1and 1/2 teaspoons drìed parsley
- 1teaspoon sage
- 1teaspoon salt
- 1/2teaspoon pepper
For the dumplìngs
- 3cups flour, spooned and leveled
- 1and 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1tablespoon bakìng pwder
- 2teaspoons drìed parsley OR 2 tablespoons fresh parsley
- 1/2teaspoon pepper
- 3tablespoons cold butter**
- 3tablespoons shortenìng**
- 1and 1/2 cups buttermìlk (cheat versìon ìs ok)***
For the gravy
- 2cups cookìng lìquìd
- 3/4cup COLD water
- 1/3cup flour
- 1teaspoon Better Than Bouìllon Chìcken Base
- salt and pepper
